The hotel is dated but there has been an attempt to upgrade the decor recently. The issue with this hotel at present is not the poor standard of the building, but the VERY LOW standard of service and the poor quality of food. When we checked out there was a significant queue of people waiting to complain. I will not use this hotel again.

This queen of the beach is now tired, aging, and pretty dirty. The inventory of facilities might rate 4 Stars, but their condition does not. The restaurant now serves tasteless underseasoned stuff, British cuisine of the 1960s or maybe 1940s. It's newly baptized as a Mercure; Accor Group needs to rehab the place now. The staff was demoralized at the change, but trying hard to please. The linens were sparkling white.
