This delightful, moated, 'medieval manor', has the appearance of having been in existence for centuries, but in fact only dates back to the 1920s. It was built for Lord Moyne, a member of the Guinness family, who wanted to create an ancient manor house. It became a hotel just over 60 years ago and sits in 30 acres of delightful parkland that leads to the beach. Bedrooms vary from atmospheric feature rooms with log fires, oak beams and four-poster beds to spacious, stylish and contemporary rooms located in the grounds. The Tapestry Restaurant serves award-winning classic European cuisine, and in summer the Courtyard is the place for informal light lunches and afternoon tea. Superb facilities are to be found in the hotel's health spa.
