The Gleneagles Hotel

AUCHTERARDER, PH3 1NF

The PGA Centenary Course, created by Jack Nicklaus, and launched in style in May 1993, has an American-Scottish layout with many water hazards, elevated tees and raised contoured greens. It is the selected venue for the Ryder Cup 2014. It has a five-tier tee structure making it both the longest and shortest playable course, as well as the most accommodating to all standards of golfer. The King's Course, with its abundance of heather, gorse, raised greens and plateau tees, is set within the valley of Strathearn with the Grampian mountains spectacularly in view to the north. The shorter Queen's Course, with fairways lined with Scots pines and water hazards, is set within a softer landscape and is considered an easier test of golf. You can improve your game at the golf academy at Gleneagles where the philosophy is that golf should be fun and fun in golf comes from playing better. A complete corporate golf package is available.
