(1 user review)Summer festival fever hits the country once again as the dual-site V Festival comes to Chelmsford's Hylands Park and Weston Park in Staffordshire. Ensuring nobody need miss out, again this year many of the acts play both locations on alternate days.
As well as its novel exchange of artists across two separate settings, V Festival has also come to be known for staging one of the safest of UK festivals, encouraging a relaxed, commercial atmosphere that appeals to the kids.
Compared to the hippy, spaced-out vibes of Glastonbury and the harder rock element of Reading, the event is positioned squarely in the mainstream - don't expect late-night communal parties round a bonfire.
Among those scheduled to perform at Hylands Park this year are Eminem, Rihanna and the Arctic Monkeys.
