The Big Red Tenby Boxing Day Swim at North Beach is rightly regarded as one of Wales' fun festive highlights. Hundreds of bathers - many in fancy dress - sprint seawards for an icy dip to raise money for charity.After raft and canoe races and a lifeboat launch comes the big plunge. Survivors are presented with commemorative medals around a warming bonfire.
