Location: Henley-on-Thames
Write a review
The Henley Royal Regatta is both an international rowing event and a must for hat fans. Champagne picnics, elegant women and men in striped blazers fill the Thames banks for five days of revelry, reunions and rowing. The regatta was first held in 1839 and has been held annually ever since, except during the two World Wars. Originally staged with a fair and other amusements, the emphasis rapidly changed so that competitive amateur rowing became its main purpose.
There are various types of tickets, from the Regatta Enclosure to the exclusive Stewards' Enclosure. Please contact the Regatta Headquarters for more information.
