Description
Southampton celebrates Chinese New Year, with a traditional Dian Jin ceremony at the Civic Centre, followed by lion dancing, music and martial arts displays. The celebrations continue with a parade through the city centre.

Should be called Southampton Fun Fair. Large crowd of people and police in Guildhall Square at 12:30. One small child dancing in the centre of the square. Nothing even vaguely Chinese in sight. Above Bar full of market stalls, mostly selling food. No sign of anything Chinese save for one or two food stall. It was a real con. ;
