Description

The Changing of the Guard is a highlight of any visit to Windsor Castle. Watch the guards as they march up the High Street into the castle and see the "changing" ceremony outside the Guardroom in the Castle's Lower Ward.The Queen has a number of homes, both official (Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace, Windsor Castle and Holyrood House in Scotland) and private (Sandringham and Balmoral), but it is only at the London and Windsor Palaces that a guard is mounted.

Please note: between April and July the ceremony takes place from Monday to Saturday. For the rest of the year it occurs on alternate days - please visit the Royal website to confirm the dates.
