Established in 1991, Bath Film Festival retains the feel of a community-orientated event but with an internationally focused programme. Showing a commitment to promoting the best of contemporary cinema it returns this year with local, national and international film highlights.The Bath Film Festival remains an annual highlight for the people of the city, and its extended programme of films is just the tonic for autumn's often inclement weather.
Past highlights included a massive outdoor screening of Steven Spielberg's much loved classic E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, while a social-outreach programme endeavours to make film accessible to those who may not frequently have the opportunity to experience it.
