The art collection includes contemporary art and craft, paintings, sculpture, porcelain, clocks and watches. There are paintings by Turner, Stubbs and Lowry, major porcelain collections and clocks by Robert Sutton. The archaeological collection covers 300,000 years of history up to the 18th-century.
