Catch a unique glimpse of life at home and at work in a rural scythe and steelworks dating back to the 18th century at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet. Worker's houses, water wheels, steel furnaces, tilt hammers and workshops make up one of the largest water powered industrial complexes on Sheffield's River Sheaf. The site is a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Watch out for the popular family events programme with traditional crafts and skills demonstrations, living history tours and activities plus Steam Gathering.
