No 1 Royal Crescent

No 1 Royal Cresent, BATH, BA1 2LR

Write a review

Bath is renowned as a Georgian city, but most of its houses have been altered over the years to suit changing tastes and lifestyles. Built in 1768 by John Wood the Elder, No 1 Royal Crescent has been restored to look as it would have done some 200 years ago. Visitors can see a grand townhouse of the late 18th century with authentic furniture, paintings and carpets. On the ground floor are the study and dining room, and on the first floor a lady's bedroom and drawing room. In the basement there is a period kitchen and the museum shop.
