Clumber was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Although the house no longer exists, the walled kitchen garden, magnificent Gothic revival chapel, pleasure ground and lake remain as clues to its past. Covering 3,800 acres, Clumber's mosaic of important and varied habitats are home to a world of hidden nature and a haven for visitors. Bikes are available for hire. There is also a new Clumber Discovery and Exhibition Centre.
