Sudeley Castle was home to Katherine Parr, who is buried in the Chapel. Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Elizabeth I all stayed or visited here; and it was the headquarters of Prince Rupert during the Civil War. The Queen's Garden is famous for its rose collection. There are exhibitions, a gift shop and plant centre. In 2012 the Katherine Parr Festival will be celebrating the quincentenary of Queen Katherine's birth with talks and literary experts, including David Starkey.
