Sudbury Hall and Museum of Childhood

SUDBURY, Ashbourne, DE6 5HT

Write a review

Sudbury Hall is two totally different experiences sitting side by side. The country home of the Lords Vernon features exquisite plasterwork, wood carvings, murals based on classical stories and fine 17th-century craftsmanship. The Great Staircase and Long Gallery are extremely impressive. The Museum of Childhood is a delight for all ages with something for everyone. Explore the childhood of times gone by, make stories, play with toys and share your childhood with others. You can be a chimney weep, a scullion or a Victorian pupil, and be captivated by the archive films, interactives and displays.
