Pickford's House Museum

41 Friar Gate, DERBY, DE1 1DA

Write a review

The house was built in 1770 by the architect Joseph Pickford as a combined workplace and family home. It now shows domestic life at different periods, with Georgian reception rooms, service areas and a 1930s bathroom. Other galleries display part of the museum's collections of historic costume and toy theatres. There is a lively programme of changing temporary exhibitions and events throughout the year.
