Tate St Ives

Porthmeor Beach, ST IVES, TR26 1TG

Write a review

Home of post-war British Modernism, St Ives provides the artistic foundations for Tate St Ives. Opened in 1993, the gallery celebrates the surroundings and atmosphere that inspired the Modernists, and its unique architecture recalls the 'White Relief' work of Ben Nicholson as well as the unexpected twists and turns of the town itself. The dynamic spirit of the artists is reflected in a broad programme of historic and contemporary displays, that embrace the best of international modern and contemporary art and include displays on loan from Tate Modern.
