Impressive relics of the tin mining industry, these great beam engines were used for pumping water from 2,000ft down, and for lifting men and ore from the workings below ground. The mine at East Pool has been converted into the Cornwall Industrial Heritage Centre, which includes audio-visual theatre, giving background to all aspects of Cornwall's industrial heritage.
