Paradise Mill & Silk Industry Museum

A working silk mill until 1981, with restored jacquard hand looms in their original location. Knowledgeable guides, many of them former silk mill workers, illustrate the silk production process with the help of demonstrations from weavers. Exhibitions and room settings give an impression of working conditions at the mill during the 1930s. The adjacent Silk Industry Museum opened in 2002 and focuses on design and manufacturing processes.
