Belfast Zoological Gardens
Description
The 50-acre zoo has a dramatic setting on the face of Cave Hill, enjoying spectacular views. Attractions include the primate house (gorillas and chimpanzees), penguin enclosure, free-flight aviary, African enclosure, and underwater viewing of sealions and penguins. There are also red pandas, lemurs and a group of very rare spectacled bears. Recent additions to the collection include capybara, crowned lemurs, tawny frogmouth and laughing kookaburra, tree kangaroo and giant anteater.

Summer: £8.30 (ch £4.40), Winter: £6.90 (ch £4.40, ch under 4, pen and disabled free).

Oct-Mar 10-4 (last admission 2.30). Closed 25-26 Dec.
