Breakdown Repair Cover

How to claim

1. If you break down, call for AA assistance on 0800 887766.

2. We will attempt to fix the vehicle at the roadside and any parts required will be paid for by the policy (so long as they are eligible parts). You will only need to pay the policy excess of £25.

3. If we cannot fix the vehicle at the roadside we will arrange for it to be taken to a garage of your choice (must be VAT registered).

4. The garage will assess the repair and should contact the Claims Helpline on 0845 604 0042 to provide information and obtain authorisation. If the garage does not contact the Claims Helpline then you must do this and our claims adviser will tell you what to do next.

5. The Claims Helpline will arrange the repair and can pay for it directly with the garage if the garage is agreeable. If not, then you will need to pay the bill and send your receipt to the Claims Department who will reimburse you for the claim. There is a six-week time limit for notifying claims and submitting receipts to us.

7. The limit of cover is £500 (including VAT and subject to a £25 excess) per claim and you can make up to five paid claims a year.
