What's the Parts and Labour benefit?

Parts and Labour is an optional benefit for European breakdown cover that can help towards repair costs following a breakdown. It covers private cars and offers:

• up to £500 cover on a single trip (£300 with a Short Break policy)
• up to £1500 cover with annual policies*
• help to ensure the repair is as hassle-free as possible

Why get the Parts and Labour benefit?

Breaking down can be expensive and stressful. With the Parts and Labour benefit, you can relax and enjoy your holiday knowing that you won't kneed to worry about expensive repair bills that cost drivers an average of £309.

* You can make up to 3 claims with an annual European breakdown cover policy, each with a limit of £500.

** The 30% discount is only available to AA members purchasing AA European Breakdown Cover (full cover). It consists of a 20% online discount plus a further 10% discount for AA members and any eligible AA customers. AA members and eligible AA customers receive a 10% discount on all AA European Breakdown products. The level of online discount will vary depending on the level of cover purchased.

How to make a claim

To make a claim under your Parts and Labour benefit, you'll first need to call us for roadside assistance.

If your car needs repair work, we'll need to authorise it before the work begins. Once repairs are completed, we can usually cover the costs directly with the garage so you won't have to pay the bill and claim back later.

Please remember

In order for you to make a claim, your car must:

• have suffered a mechanical or electrical breakdown that prevents it from carrying on safely
• need the repair or replacement part in order for your trip to start/continue
• have left the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man
