Harmony House

Guest House

Just six miles from York, Harmony House is in a peaceful country setting. The house has an interesting history, having been a reading room, a Sunday school, agricultural cottages and the village post office. Some parts date back to the 17th century, but renovation and modernisation have made it into a smart, characterful place to stay. There are log fires in winter, a guest lounge that overlooks the Green, and the offer of tea and cakes on arrival. Afternoon tea or midweek evening meals are available (by prior arrangement) and friends or family are welcome to come along. Hilary is a trained chef and runs a small cookery school. Harmony House is not child friendly, however the self-catering family annexe can accommodate a family of four.
