Mount Inn is believed to occupy part of the site of an old motte and bailey castle, and started life as a coaching inn. The traditional bars are full of character, with exposed beams and timbers as well as cobbled flooring and log fires. Bedrooms, which include some in a separate building, are carefully furnished and equipped with practical and thoughtful extras.
