The Bird in hand is just four miles from Maidenhead, and dates back, in part, to the 14th century. Bedrooms are arranged around a brick courtyard which has its own fountain, and all are well equipped with flat screen TVs, direct dial telephones and free Wi-fi. Guests can relax in the Oak Lounge Bar, which has plenty of traditional charm and old English character, and dining is available either in the bar or the restaurant.
