Compare with other cars in the City Car category
The Citroen C1 shares its platform and architecture with the Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 107. The Citroen C1 was the car tested, however Euro NCAP expect the Aygo and the 107 to provide the same protection ratings. The body shell proved to be extremely strong suffering minimal deformation in the frontal impact. The restraint systems include single stage frontal airbags and front safety belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters. An intelligent seat belt reminder system is fitted for the driver. The child protection offered by the car was mixed, good for the older child, but less good for the younger child. The level of protection offered to pedestrians and other vulnerable road users was judged to be fair overall.
